Job summary

AlbanyEngineered Composites (AEC) in Utah seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to define and maintain documented layup, cure, and rework processes for aerospace composite structures.

You will work with operations, quality, planning, and tooling to support production, apply engineering methods to solve manufacturing problems, and drive process improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with technicians, engineers, and management.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
• Excellent documentation and interpersonal skills; able to work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain layup, cure, and rework process documentation in PDM systems.
• Evaluate nonconforming parts and disposition per customer specs.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot process stoppages to minimize downtime in layup and forming.
• Identify and implement safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
• Meet labor and cycle time targets with new/existing processes.
• Create compliance matrices for customer requirements.
• Use SPC to monitor quality data.
• Support introduction of new processes and automation on the floor.
• Provide technical solutions to manufacturing problems.
