Job summary
Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support Air Dominance Operations by developing and improving manufacturing strategies for complex missile assemblies, including affordability/IRAD initiatives and automation deployments.
You will execute process improvements, tooling deployments, and design for manufacturability, collaborating across LM sites; travel up to 10% may be required and a Secret clearance is needed to start.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM discipline.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Secret clearance eligibility; US citizenship required.
- Defensive and aerospace manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives across LM sites and supply base.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and layouts.
- Support design for manufacturability and producibility of electromechanical systems.
- Manage capital planning, vendor engagement, and project management for automation deployments.
- Travel up to ~10% to facilitate projects.
