Job summary

Moog in Torrance, CA is seeking a Product/Manufacturing Engineer to support production programs for military flight control components and systems. You will provide engineering support to assembly and test personnel and influence product cost on site, with a 9/80 schedule option.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering and have at least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear production assembly/test instructions to operations personnel to maintain efficient production.
• Support evaluation and implementation of equipment to meet production requirements (assembly fixtures, tools, production flow-line systems, test equipment).
• Assure and maintain product integrity and quality in production by collaborating with Moog resources to resolve production problems and assist in evaluations for notices of escape to customers.
• Track important company metrics including first pass yield and product cost goals.
• Help facilitate design changes by redlining drawings, attending Change Review Board and starting the EO process.
• Travel 5-10% to customers and suppliers as needed.
