Job summary

Moog is seeking a Product (Manufacturing) Engineer in Torrance, CA to support production programs for military flight control components. The Product Engineering Group acts as the design authority for production. You will provide engineering support to assembly and test personnel, maintain product integrity, and influence product cost.

The role is onsite with a 9/80 schedule option and reports to the Manager, Prod. Engrg (SPD).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in aerospace or other regulated industries is a plus
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing shop floor
• Strong root cause analysis and corrective action skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication; DoD Secret clearance preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide clear production assembly/test instructions to operations personnel
• Evaluate and implement equipment to meet production requirements
• Maintain product integrity and quality in production by collaborating with Moog resources
• Track metrics like first pass yield and product cost goals
• Support design changes by redlining drawings and participating in Change Review Board
• Travel 5-10% to customers and suppliers as needed
