Zusammenfassung

Blue Origin's Lunar Permanence team seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design tooling, fixtures, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for efficient lunar hardware production. You will translate design requirements into manufacturable solutions and support tooling lifecycle from concept through validation.

Collaborating with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations, you will drive DFx, producibility assessments, and continuous improvement while supporting fast-paced project milestones on Space

Qualifikationen

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, tooling/GSE design, or production support.
• Experience designing tooling, fixtures, GSE for mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturability.
• Experience supporting production operations with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to perform hand-calculations for tooling strength and stability.

Aufgaben

• Design tooling, fixtures, handling equipment, and GSE for efficient manufacturing and testing.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations to develop new build processes and tooling concepts.
• Plan and support builds of demonstrators and prototype hardware, providing hands-on support.
• Apply DFx, conduct producibility assessments, and bridge manufacturing technology gaps.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation and release tooling for production.
• Support tooling fabrication, validation, and continuous improvement for lunar hardware.
