Vaco is seeking an experienced Audit & Cost Accounting Specialist to provide immediate support in a manufacturing/aerospace environment. This indefinite temporary opportunity is expected to continue through key audit activities, with potential to transition to permanent. The ideal candidate brings audit and cost accounting experience, hands-on inventory accounting, and a solid understanding of U.S.

GAAP to support year-end audits and ongoing reporting. This role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Audit experience in public, external, or internal audit.
• Hands-on cost accounting experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Experience with inventory accounting and inventory audit support.
• Strong reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience supporting year-end audits.
• Strong Excel skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide audit support for year-end and other financial activities.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and support inventory audit procedures.
• Assist with cost accounting, costing analysis, and manufacturing-related financial analysis.
• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between financial and operational records.
• Support preparation and documentation for external and internal audits.
• Ensure accounting activities and reporting are consistent with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with additional accounting and audit projects as needed.
