Job summary

Jobot in Addison, VT is seeking a highly motivated Cost Accountant to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This full-time, on-site role focuses on cost analysis, financial reporting, and cost control.

You will prepare margin analyses, assist in month-end close, coordinate with IT on production and purchasing systems, and work with engineering and manufacturing staff to develop cost standards. A Bachelor's in Accounting with at least 5 years' cost accounting experience is required; a Master's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Master's degree is highly desirable.
• CPA/CMA is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze and report gross margin by product and customer type.
• Assist in month-end closing and journal entries.
• Coordinate with IT for systems issues affecting production, purchasing, etc.
• Analyze cost accounting data and support cycle counts.
• Maintain internal controls and reconcile cost records.
• Prepare detailed account analyses and inventory/cost reports.
• Support internal reporting for audits and tax schedules.
• Ensure timely submission of margin schedules to management.
