Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to keep production and facility equipment running smoothly. You will perform electrical and mechanical repairs, read drawings, analyze data for root causes, and follow strict safety procedures on an onsite team.

Collaboration with engineering, quality and operations is essential. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read schematics, along with a commitment to safety and 6S, are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED in the US) required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Perform electrical and mechanical emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.
• Collect and analyze data for root cause analysis of equipment problems.
• Follow lock out/tag out procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the work area.
