Job summary

PPG in Grand Prairie, TX is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep critical aerospace-related assets running smoothly. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with hands-on fabrication and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Must be able to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and SkyTrac.
• Flexibility for overtime or alternate shifts.
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license to travel between two plant locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, and repair industrial machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
• Execute preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Interpret drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Coordinate maintenance timing with production to limit downtime.
• Keep records and communicate equipment status updates.
• Uphold safety standards including PPE and lock-out/tag-out.
• Assist with installing and commissioning new equipment and upgrades.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects for reliability and efficiency.
• Support facilities maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and SkyTrac safely.
• Fabricate components for repairs and machine enhancements.
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and communicate with production teams.
