Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve production equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient operations. This hands-on role keeps equipment running at peak performance on the 3rd shift with a 15% differential.

New hires must train on 1st shift for 90 days before transitioning to their assigned shift; union Local 475 represents the position and the starting rate is $33.52/hr.

Qualifications

• Experience performing industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of plumbing systems, HVAC systems, electrical power and controls, gas furnaces and heat‑treat equipment, vacuum systems, dust collection systems, carpentry and painting.
• Welding and brazing experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, pumps, furnaces, vacuum systems, and related equipment.
• Complete equipment overhauls, repairs, inspections, and daily maintenance checks.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC system issues.
• Maintain and repair plumbing, dust collection, and building systems.
• Support heat treat equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Perform welding and brazing repairs as needed.
• Read and work from sketches, schematics, and equipment prints.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment as required.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all quality, safety, environmental, and company standards.
