Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Maintenance Specialist for the 4th shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am-7:00pm) at our Orangeburg, NY facility. You will maintain, repair, and improve production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations while supporting Lean initiatives and a strong safety culture.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical problem-solving, ability to read schematics, and experience with HVAC, plumbing, and welding.

Qualifications

• Experience performing industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical power and controls, gas furnaces and heat-treatment equipment, vacuum systems, dust collection, carpentry and painting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, pumps, furnaces, vacuum systems, and related equipment.
• Complete equipment overhauls, repairs, inspections, and daily maintenance checks.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC system issues.
• Maintain and repair plumbing, dust collection, and building systems.
• Support heat treat equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Perform welding and brazing repairs as needed.
• Read and work from sketches, schematics, and equipment prints.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment as required.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all quality, safety, environmental, and company standards.
