Job summary

The Gill Corporation, a leading supplier of aircraft materials, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to repair and maintain machinery, engines, conveyors and production equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will inspect, troubleshoot, replace parts and lubricate systems to keep operations safe and efficient.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience, plus a valid California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ related experience.
• English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read and communicate procedures.
• Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and locates causes of trouble.
• Inspects parts for wear and dimensional changes.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts and lubricates/cleans components.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools.
• Work may require rotating shifts and weekends.
