Job summary

Howmet Aerospace’s La Porte, Indiana facility is seeking an Area Leader to direct repair, maintenance, and installation activities and to supervise the NES Maintenance workforce. The role focuses on safe operations, schedule adherence, and rigorous supervision of a skilled maintenance team.

Responsibilities include organizing staff, evaluating systems, planning projects, and ensuring timely completion of repairs while aligning with departmental budgets and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years related maintenance experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that are needed.
• Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
• Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
• Manage the exchange of information between the Maintenance shifts.
• Manage maintenance and facility related projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
