Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Machinist to operate manual equipment and manufacture or repair precision aerospace components. You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, and ensure quality while maintaining safety and productivity.

The role requires strong machining fundamentals, attention to detail, and ability to work on the 3rd shift with differential pay. This position is on-site in a manufacturing environment supporting aerospace components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating manual machining equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual machining equipment (lathes, VTLs, milling machines, grinders).
• Manufacture and repair precision aerospace components to spec.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering docs.
• Apply GD&T to ensure conformance and quality.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other gauges to inspect work.
• Maintain tooling and machines; perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain records and support continuous improvement.
