Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport, WV is seeking a Machinist to perform precision machining and rework on aircraft engine components. The role will involve operating CNC mills/lathes, reading engineering drawings, and maintaining strict FAA quality standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and hands-on CNC experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with precision measurement tools. Training on first shift may be required, with potential second-shift rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with CNC programming and setups.
• Ability to read GD&T and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision rework and machining on aircraft engine components.
• Operate manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, drills, EDM).
• Inspect work with micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators and bore gauges.
• Set up parts using fixtures and verify alignment and tolerances.
• Read overhaul manuals and engineering drawings to ensure compliance.
• Support continuous improvement and mentor less experienced machinists.
