Job summary

Janicki Industries in Hamilton, WA is seeking a Machine Shop Manager to oversee machining of aluminum, titanium, and exotic metals up to 165 inches long. You will lead up to 25 personnel across multiple shifts, develop efficient tool-path methods, coordinate fixtures, and work with project teams to meet production schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of specialized training or related on-the-job experience.
• Minimum 5 years related job experience.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and SAP or similar ERP.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and provide guidance developing high efficiency and stable tool path methods.
• Strategic planning, ability to schedule and focus on productivity.
• Provide direction for fixture designs and cutting tool libraries.
• Direct and lead a team of employees.
• Coordinate with Project Teams to support scheduling and priorities.
• Estimate production times and staffing for management decisions.
• Analyze workforce utilization, space, and workflow; ensure resource availability.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement cross-training.
