Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a manufacturing tool integration specialist to support design and manufacturing of custom machine tools. You will own the assembly of machine tool subsystems, manage schedules, and ensure quality and cost targets are met across our production floor.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical and electromechanical systems and the ability to translate engineering designs into actionable work orders while coordinating across structural, pneumatic, and electrical

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering or other relevant field.
• Proven experience delivering fully integrated, highly engineered products to completion in Aerospace/Marine/Automotive/Medical/Manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to interact with executives and shop floor.
• Hands on experience assembling or operating mechanical and electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the manufacturing of custom manufacturing machine tools, including structural, pneumatic, and electrical systems integration.
• Develop assembly sequencing for machine tool assembly and adjust to production issues.
• Develop and maintain assembly and build schedules.
• Interpret design documents into work orders for touch labor on the floor.
• Support hardware integration of complex electromechanical devices and troubleshoot daily issues.
• Provide design for manufacturability reviews and suggest improvements to quality and cost.
• Develop and implement preventive actions related to discrepancies.
• Coordinate and create procurement tickets to ensure timely deliveries for schedules.
• Take ownership of product quality and implement continuous improvement processes.
