Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, ME is seeking a Facilities & Services Technician – Machine Repair to repair, modify and maintain machine tools, set up lathes and grinders, and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues. You will read schematics, ensure safety, and work with tradespeople in a fast-paced shop environment.

This 3rd shift role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 1+ years of related experience or a technical certificate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of related experience or a technical certificate/degree.
• Preferred familiarity with SAP and ACE tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair, construct, overhaul or modify machine tools and equipment.
• Set up and operate general purpose machine tools to make or repair parts.
• Read shop sketches and schematics for mechanical trades and electrical schematics.
• Troubleshoot mechanical & electrical problems and align tools for accuracy.
• Maintain safety standards and communicate with tradespeople and vendors.
