Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, Maine, is seeking an entry-level CNC operator. This onsite role includes a 3-week training program followed by 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training to learn set-up and operation of NC milling/grinding machines.

You will work from operation sheets to set up equipment, verify conformance with precision tools, and collaborate with engineers, QA, and production staff to resolve issues. English literacy is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• No prior machining experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to read operation sheets and part travelers.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines.
• Follow operation sheets and travellers to set up equipment.
• Verify finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator Certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines through total productive maintenance (TPM).
