Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking candidates for a 2nd Shift Certified Operator training program at our North Berwick site. You will learn to set up and operate NC milling and grinding machines, lathes, and VTCs to handle weldments and assemblies, with on-the-job training spanning several weeks.

Qualifications

• High School or GED are required.
• Ability to perform decimals and fractions calculations is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and obtain operator certification.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines on a variety of weldments and assemblies.
• Attend training and on-the-job training.
• Verify conformance of finished work using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator Certification to accept/reject parts.
• Work with engineers, quality assurance, and production staff to resolve machining issues.
