Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC is seeking a Machine Operator to operate multiple production machines and demonstrate key proficiencies for certification. You will read work instructions, set up equipment, and collaborate with engineers and QA to resolve machining issues.

The role requires HS Diploma/GED, U.S. citizenship, and manufacturing experience; training may occur on non-preferred shifts. Several shifts are available, and benefits are provided during employment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to program/contract.
• Previous manufacturing education or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Set up and operate production equipment and measuring devices.
• Operate a variety of production machines and tools.
• Obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines with total preventative maintenance (TPM).
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and other staff to resolve issues.
