Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift in East Granby, CT. You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on facility equipment, interpret schematics, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, HMI, VFDs, and DC drives.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance (aerospace preferred), strong teamwork, and experience with CMMS. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred).
• Self-motivated team member requiring minimal supervision/guidance.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Read and interpret schematics for electrical and mechanical.
• Able to wire electrical motors and troubleshoot PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s and DC drives.
• Strong knowledge in mechanical skills on equipment including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and repair production machines.
• Diagnose and anticipate problems, replace or repair parts. Test and make adjustments.
• 3+ years of CNC machine repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on facility equipment.
• Advocate HSE minded work and processes.
• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties, including: LOTO, confined space, elevated work, and machine guarding.
• Support facility compliance with regulatory compliance: OSHA, RCRA, SWPPP, SPCC including training, inspections, and emergency contingency activities.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas.
• On a continual basis, observe facility maintenance/repair needs, notify supervision of any items that cannot be resolved with a “See it, Fix it” approach.
• Utilize CMMS to log work order details, time spent, parts used, etc.
