Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in Alabama is seeking a Logistics / Receiving Inspection professional to ensure compliance with AS9100 QMS and manage government property, shipping, and materials traceability. You will support ERP implementation and drive process improvements across logistics, quality, and inventory teams.

The role requires five or more years in logistics or related fields, strong documentation skills, and experience in aerospace or defense environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in logistics, warehouse, supply chain, quality, property, or inventory management.
• Experience supporting AS9100 Quality Management Systems preferred.
• Experience within aerospace, defense, government, or military environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and follow AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
• Manage Government Property in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Perform receiving inspection of materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Generate, maintain, and archive inspection checklists and quality documentation.
• Maintain instrument calibration inventory and ensure calibration records remain current.
• Coordinate calibration schedules with internal departments and external vendors.
• Manage preventive maintenance records, schedules, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate quality, calibration, and maintenance records for audit readiness.
• Support ERP implementation through data entry, process development, and system validation.
• Assist in establishing and improving quality, logistics, and inventory management processes.
• Ensure material traceability and documentation throughout the supply chain.
• Support inventory control, asset management, and government property accountability.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams to meet customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.
