Job summary

The role requires reading blueprints, using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and documenting results with traceable records, plus participation in internal and external audits and FAIR creation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in quality inspection, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, first article (FAI), and final inspections of aerospace and industrial parts and assemblies, as assigned.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain traceability records.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with company procedures.
• Generate and support completion of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per AS9102.
• Verify material certifications and documentation for compliance.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
• Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to production and quality engineering teams.
