Job summary

Borg Design Inc. is seeking an experienced Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to manage the accurate, compliant movement of materials and finished product at our precision manufacturing facility.

You will coordinate daily shipping/receiving, carrier logistics, documentation, and ERP records while ensuring AS9100/FAI compliance and ITAR safeguards. The role requires interaction with Quality, Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and carriers to meet strict customer requirements and schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in shipping/logistics in regulated manufacturing.
• AS9100 knowledge related to shipping & traceability.
• FAI documentation knowledge and relation to shipment.
• GSI processes and release controls before shipment.
• Experience with shipment docs: packing lists, COCs, certifications.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and carrier systems.
• Strong document-control, data-entry, and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
• MS Excel and Outlook proficiency.
• HS diploma; ability to meet ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review orders, shipping instructions, and requirements before shipment.
• Ensure release, inspections, and documentation are complete for shipment.
• Prepare outbound shipment docs: packing lists, COCs, certifications.
• Maintain AS9102 FAI knowledge and coordinate with Quality.
• Coordinate customer and Government Source Inspection when applicable.
• Prepare shipments with approved carriers and freight docs.
• Coordinate daily logistics with national/international carriers.
• Package, label, and protect product per requirements.
• Process advance shipment notifications and tracking data.
• Receive inbound material and verify in advance of inspection.
• Identify nonconforming inbound material and coordinate resolution.
• Maintain ERP records for shipping, receiving, and documents.
• Coordinate shipments to outside processors and customers.
• Handle customer returns and RMAs per procedures.
• Follow document-control for current revisions and records.
• Protect export-controlled information and sensitive data.
• Support audits by retrieving shipping/logistics records.
• Monitor shipment errors and supplier/carrier performance.
• Maintain orderly shipping/receiving area and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
