Job summary

SEKISUI Aerospace in Renton, WA is seeking a Laminator to help manufacture high-quality composite aerospace parts. You’ll laminate components according to drawings and the SWI, supporting the production team on 2nd shift.

Ideal candidates have hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow detailed work instructions. PPE is provided; pre-employment drug and background screening apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or similar hands-on work preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with hands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and standard work instructions (SWI); wrap mold with composite materials, in preparation for curing process, to form composite parts.
• Check for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning; reporting all discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor.
• Verify materials being used are according to manufacturing plan.
• Verify part ID tag and sign off on work performed.
• Adhere to schedules and time allowances, takt time, for production requirements.
