Job summary

Apex Space, Inc. in Playa Vista, Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an IT Engineer to design, implement, administer, and optimize our technology infrastructure.

This role focuses on architecture, engineering solutions, and lifecycle management of IT systems, networks, and cloud resources. The candidate will build and manage Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android environments, design networks, administer 365/SharePoint/Jira/Confluence/Slack, and lead cross-functional IT projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field required.
• 5–7 years progressive hands-on IT engineering experience.
• Experience deploying and managing Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android.
• Strong networking with LAN/WAN/VLANs, VPNs, firewalls.
• Experience with Azure and AWS (GovCloud) environments.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering, administration, and troubleshooting of systems, servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud infrastructure.
• Build, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers from deployment through ongoing management.
• Administer Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux environments.
• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/VLANs, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls, and policies.
• Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune, Jira/Confluence, Slack.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Lead IT infrastructure projects and ensure timely completion.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support.
• Document configurations and procedures.
