Job summary

AllClear Aerospace & Defense is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to lead inventory control and warehouse operations for our aerospace manufacturing activities. You will ensure ERP/MRP accuracy, drive cycle counts, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet production commitments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in inventory management within aerospace or defense manufacturing, and strong skills in Lean, 5S, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of inventory control, warehouse, or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading inventory personnel, establishing accountability, and driving operational improvements.
• Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, including inventory transactions, cycle counting, reconciliation, and reporting; experience with Quantum, Pentagon, or comparable systems preferred.
• Proven ability to maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability, resolve discrepancies, and improve material flow and inventory controls.
• Experience with physical inventory, audits, and excess or obsolete material management.
• Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience, including familiarity with AS9100 requirements and manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, or assembly, preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and visual management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory accuracy across raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods, ensuring accurate ERP/MRP transactions, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material issuance, kitting, and stock movements to ensure material availability and support production schedules.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and Operations to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory, optimize storage utilization, and improve inventory management.
• Establish standardized processes and implement Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement practices to strengthen operational efficiency and material flow.
• Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace quality and customer requirements, including material identification, lot/serial traceability, documentation, and segregation of nonconforming materials.
• Direct inventory personnel, establish performance expectations, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, cycle-count completion, transaction accuracy, and material availability.
