Job summary

Skydio is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory across manufacturing, warehouse, and field locations, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and regulatory compliance. You will lead cycle counts, coordinate with procurement, production, and quality teams, and optimize materials flow to support schedules and deliveries.

The role requires 5–10+ years in inventory or supply chain within manufacturing, with aerospace exposure and AS9100/ISO 9001 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10+ years of inventory, warehouse, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or defense.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control practices, MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Experience with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) and traceability requirements.
• Familiar with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks (e.g. COSO).
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a production or warehouse setting.
• APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with FAA, ITAR, or export compliance regulations.
• Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory control across manufacturing, warehouse, and field locations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain inventory policies aligned with aerospace standards (AS9100).
• Monitor raw materials, WIP, and finished goods for accuracy and availability.
• Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
• Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, quality, and engineering for material traceability.
• Ensure compliance with lot traceability, serialization, and documentation.
• Optimize warehouse layout and material handling for efficiency and safety.
• Analyze inventory metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage and mentor inventory control staff; support audits and reporting.
