Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a CMM Programmer to develop inspection programs for aerospace components. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality and Design Engineering to meet short and long-term goals and provide technical expertise in machining processes and quality verification.

Responsibilities include programming multiple CMMs, producing reports, interpreting GD&T, and mentoring junior staff while pursuing advanced manufacturing technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience with 2+ years preferred
• CMM programming experience required
• Strong shop mathematics and GD&T reading skills

Responsibilities

• Program multiple CMMs for various machining processes and products
• Provide formatted reports for engineering, CNC programs and operators
• Interpret GD&T prints and develop probing/fixturing solutions
• Edit legacy CMM programs and develop SPC feedback software
• Mentor entry level personnel in CMM operation
• Explore new manufacturing technology and process improvements
• Perform inspection as needed
