Job summary

Barnes Aerospace in Ohio is seeking an Inspector, CRO to perform diversified inspection duties on aircraft parts and learn additional functions in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment. You will read engine manuals and blueprints, operate precision measuring instruments including CMMs, and ensure documentation complies with manuals, data, and regulations.

Requirements include 1–3 years related aerospace experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related aerospace experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• FAA Certified Repairman or Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic highly desirable.
• Proficiency in measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, dial gauges, etc).
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience with CMM operation and programming is a differentiator.
• Good mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on engine components.
• Ensure detailed quality inspection complies with manuals and technical data.
• Read and understand engine manuals and manuals/technical data to perform inspections.
• Operate computerized measuring equipment and train/assist other inspectors.
• Complete documentation of compliance to requirements on documents.
• Perform full spectrum of dimensional inspections with close tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, gauges, ID mics, borescopes, pi tapes, etc.
