Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking an Inspector, CRO to perform diversified inspection duties on aircraft parts and cross-train for additional functions. This role requires initiative and the ability to work independently to ensure high quality and productivity.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in aerospace, strong attention to detail, proficiency with precision measuring instruments, and experience reading complex blueprints. FAA Repairman or A&P is desirable, and CMM experience is a differentiator.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related aerospace inspection experience.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• FAA Certified Repairman or Airframe & Powerplant experience is desirable.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical data.
• CMM operation and programming experience is a differentiator.
• Good mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on engine components.
• Ensure inspection compliance with manuals and data.
• Read manuals and data to perform receiving, in-process and final inspections.
• Operate computerized measuring equipment and assist other inspectors.
• Document compliance to requirements on regulatory documents.
• Perform a full spectrum of dimensional inspections with tight tolerances.
• Use precise measuring instruments (dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
