Job summary

GE Aerospace in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a mechanical/visual inspector to perform set-up and use of gauging equipment, including conventional and unconventional devices, and to help train other team members in high-quality inspection techniques.

You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting aviation technology across commercial and military aircraft. The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and may require certification and safety training as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited machinist training program.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform surface plate inspections per inspection instructions.
• Work to engineering drawings, inspection planning, and specifications.
• Document findings, make reports, and provide feedback.
• Participate in daily team meetings and communicate with team members.
• Maintain Inspector B Certification; training provided; may perform part marking and lubrication operations.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment as needed.
