Job summary

GE Aerospace in Asheville is seeking a Level 2 Inspector to oversee the inspection of complex rotating jet engine components in a controlled environment. The role requires precision measurement using CMMs and traditional inspection tools, following strict drawings and blueprints.

You will cross-train on multiple inspection devices, train new hires, and contribute to process improvements focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced aerospace QA lab.

Qualifications

• Sets up and runs most CMM programs following defined process.
• Inspects high-volume parts using established inspection processes.
• Proficient with machine software and controls for the current role.
• Understands and uses all gages required for the job.
• Cross-trains on inspection equipment.
• Provides CVP support or performs operator CVPs as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects complex rotating jet engine components to meet customer specifications.
• Operates in a clean, temperature-controlled environment with aerospace alloys.
• Follows drawings, blueprints, and work instructions precisely.
• Identifies and implements process improvements for safety, quality, delivery, cost and development.
