Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and deploy industrial control systems and launch vehicle power and control architectures. You will develop PLC software, electrical schematics, and ground support equipment for launch operations, while collaborating with technicians on fabrication and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of relevant experience, a engineering degree, and familiarity with MIL-SPEC connectors and Rockwell/Siemens hardware. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1–5 years of experience in ground up design & operations of launch vehicle power & control systems.
• Experience with Rockwell or Siemens hardware and AutoCAD Electrical.
• U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident or eligible for U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in industrial control systems, PLC hardware applications and design.
• Design electrical power and controls schematics, single line diagrams and interconnect diagrams.
• Create and modify assembly drawings of designs.
• Develop Electrical Ground Support Equipment for launch vehicle charge/discharge.
• Design launch vehicle electrical umbilical & disconnect systems.
• Develop Launch Vehicle Ready, Commit and Abort control systems.
• Design electrical control systems for ground support operations.
• Peer review supplier design documentation and collaborate with engineers.
• Coordinate with technicians on fabrication, installation and commissioning.
