Job summary

CMI Group seeks an ID/OD Grind Machinist in Phoenix to set up and operate grinding machines for aerospace components on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. You'll work with Heald ID, Toyoda OD, Okamoto CNC, and Kellenberger machines to meet tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CNC experience preferred but not required.
• 5+ years ID/OD grinding experience preferred; training available for growth.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinders to produce high-precision aerospace parts.
• Grind angles, contours, lines, spheres, and other features on surfaces.
• Complete paperwork: inspection reports, SPC, job travelers.
• Hold tolerances of .0002”–.0005” with productivity.
• Work independently and operate two machines regularly.
• Suggest process improvements to management.
