Job summary

CMI Group is seeking an ID/OD Grind Operator for the night shift to set up and operate grinding machines, delivering high-precision aerospace components on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. You will work with Toyoda, Okamoto, Kellenberger, and Heald grinders, reading GD&T drawings to hold tight tolerances.

Applicants should have high school/ GED, 5+ years grind experience preferred and strong problem solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• 5+ years ID/OD grinding experience preferred, but training available
• Experience with precision grinding to tight tolerances and GD&T

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding machines to produce aerospace components
• Grind to tolerances of 0.0002–0.0005 inches
• Read and interpret blueprints, assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols and notes
• Complete inspection reports, SPC, and job travelers
• Maintain productivity while ensuring quality and safe operations

ID/OD Grind Operator (CNC)Night Shift (20% night shift pay differential)Defense & Aerospace Machine ShopLocation: 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040SHIFT: Night Shift (20% night shift pay differential)ID / OD Grind MachinistSetup and Operate grinding machines to produce parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications for aerospace applications.
