Job summary

West Coast Solutions, based in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks an experienced HR Generalist to own day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and training.

You will manage timesheets, health insurance and Simple IRA enrollments, FMLA, performance reviews, and reporting while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced aerospace-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent professional experience
• 3-5+ years of professional HR generalist experience
• Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
• Knowledge of Federal and California employment law including FMLA/CFRA, wage and hour, and leave requirements
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare offer letters and compensation packages, and manage new hire onboarding, paperwork, and orientation
• Process timesheets and payroll, and administer health insurance and Simple IRA enrollments, changes, and annual audits
• Manage FMLA and other leave requests, and coordinate employee leave programs
• Support employee relations, assist with disciplinary matters, and administer the annual performance review process
• Ensure HR compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Prepare required filings and reports, including EDD, EEO, OSHA, and workers' compensation reports, and issue annual W-2 and 1099 forms
• Coordinate required employee training, including sexual harassment prevention training
• Develop and maintain quality job descriptions and HR documentation
