Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a skilled Harness Technician to join the Avionics Test team. You will fabricate, assemble, modify, and repair complex electrical wire harnesses for spacecraft avionics in a cleanroom, following schematics, NASA and IPC standards.

Responsibilities include crimping, soldering, termination, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation, with collaboration across engineering to ensure high-quality, reliable harnesses for aerospace applications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in satellite or spacecraft assembly and integration.
• Active NASA-STD-8739 or IPC-J-STD-001 (Space Addendum) certification.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematics and 3D CAD models.
• Experience with high-density connectors (Micro-D, Nano-D).
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing quality processes.
• Knowledge of vacuum-compatible materials and outgassing prevention.
• Working knowledge of precision measurement tools used in aerospace assembly and integration.
• Ability to work in a team with engineers and technicians.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
• Extremely detail-oriented in spaceflight environments.

Responsibilities

• Wire Harness Fabrication from drawings and instructions per NASA/IPC standards.
• Crimping, soldering, splicing, pinning, connectorization, shielding, sleeving, potting.
• Inspect and test harnesses using multimeters and test equipment for continuity and insulation.
• Diagnose wiring/connector issues and perform repairs and rework.
• Maintain accurate as-built records, logs, and red-line documentation.
• Fabricate in a cleanroom with ESD controls and aerospace procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturability and routing.
