Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Harnessing Technician to fabricate and install electrical harnesses on solar array panels and satellite buses.

You will build wiring interconnects routing power through the spacecraft, meeting stringent aerospace workmanship standards, in a critical single-hire role for the solar array production team. Responsibilities include harness fabrication, installation, testing, and documentation, with a focus on quality control, ESD/FOD prevention, and collaboration

Qualifications

• US Person status required (export-controlled data).
• 3+ years in aerospace or electronics harness fabrication, installation, and testing.
• Proficiency in wire crimping and connector backshell assembly.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 harness workmanship standards.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Cleanroom experience or ESD/FOD prevention knowledge.
• Strong documentation and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate solar array electrical harnesses per schematics and diagrams.
• Install and route harness assemblies on solar array panels and spacecraft structures.
• Perform backshell assembly, potting, and shell installation per specifications.
• Conduct harness continuity, resistance, and hi-pot tests.
• Perform harness rework and repair including splice and connector work.
• Apply ESD controls and FOD prevention protocols.
• Support system-level electrical checkout and power verification.
• Document assembly activities and test results in records.
• Contribute to assembly procedure development and quality documentation.
• Suggest efficiency and quality improvements.
