Job summary

Astranis in San Francisco is hiring a Wire Harness Technician responsible for assembling harnesses for spacecraft, following schematics and work instructions. You will perform cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and connectorizations, while maintaining MES documentation and contributing to quality and safety standards.

Requirements include 2+ years hands-on technician experience in aerospace or related industries, proficiency in harness assembly and rework, and the ability to lift 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on technician experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar industries.
• Proficiency in wire crimping and harness assembly.
• Familiarity with precision tools.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted.
• This role requires onsite work.
• US Citizenship or Green Card.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble harnesses used on spacecraft and for environmental testing.
• Read schematics and follow work instructions; perform cutting, stripping, crimping, and routing.
• Execute connectorizations by adding harnesses to existing hardware.
• Maintain detailed MES documentation; enter data, report non-conformances, suggest improvements.
• Test harnesses using Cirris, DMM, and cable eye.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on new equipment bring-up and process improvements.
• Uphold safety and quality standards.
