Job summary

Insight Global in the Greater San Jose area seeks a Harness Manufacturing Engineer to design build and installation processes for wire harness assemblies and to drive DFx reviews. You will help develop processes, supply chain and infrastructure to scale operations in a safety-critical space systems program from prototype to production.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in IPC/WHMA-A-620 and NASA-STD-8739.4, plus 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing environment and 3+ years fabricating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience fabricating wire harnesses.
• 5+ years in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, or comparable harness quality standards.
• Experience with software tools for design & production management such as PLM and MES.

Responsibilities

• Design build and installation processes for wire harness assemblies.
• Conduct design for excellence (DFx) reviews.
• Develop processes, supply chain and infrastructure to scale manufacturing operations.
• Take safety-critical space systems from prototype to production.
