Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is seeking an Avionics Manufacturing Engineer (Harnessing) to own the build and testing of harnessing in production across our space vehicles. You will drive manufacturability, quality, and sustained performance from design through to delivery.

Leveling will be commensurate with experience, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, support testing, and help shunt cost toward scalable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/ME/AE or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with harnessing.
• Experience in space hardware development is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify and optimize manufacturing processes for harnessing.
• Collaborate with harnessing design engineers for manufacturability and DFM/DFX.
• Own work instructions for harness manufacturing and provide floor support.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support environmental and functional testing in production and improve yield.
