Northrop Grumman in Goleta, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the harnessing and soldering processes for flight harness assemblies. You will develop and improve manufacturing processes, own the harnessing work center, and lead a team of 5–10 technicians to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Science provides 2 years relevant experience.
• Certified IPC Trainer (CIT/MIT) in IPC-J-STD-001 is required.
• Preferred: IPC J-STD-001 Space Addendum Certification.
• NASA 8739.1 Polymeric Application on Electronic Assemblies certification.
• NASA 8739.4 Workmanship Standard for Crimping, Interconnecting Cables, Harnesses and Wiring.

Responsabilités

• Review and develop design, manufacturing processes and production layouts for flight harness assemblies.
• Partner with design engineering on DFM and optimal equipment use.
• Own harnessing work center layout and optimize efficiency and quality.
• Lead a team of 5–10 harnessing technicians; set priorities and ensure safety and quality.
• Provide training and certification support to technicians and quality personnel.
