Job summary

Reliable Robotics seeks a Sr. Harness Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize harness fabrication, installation, and supply chain processes for aerospace-grade systems. Lead DFx reviews, establish documentation, and scale processes for production in safety-critical environments.

You will develop supplier qualification, quality control plans, and sophisticated harness test setups while collaborating with quality and engineering teams to resolve non-conformances and improve throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or systems engineering required.
• 7+ years of professional experience fabricating wire harnesses.
• 4+ years reviewing technical designs from drawings, schematics, layouts, and parts lists.
• Experience in high-reliability manufacturing environments (aerospace or defense).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supplier relationships ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
• Develop DFx processes and conduct cost and producibility reviews.
• Create supplier qualification processes and reviews.
• Develop QC plans and harness testing infrastructure.
• Create work instructions for harness fabrication and installation.
• Interpret controlled docs like layouts, schematics, and master parts lists.
• Collaborate with quality/engineering to resolve non-conformances.
• Improve manufacturing capabilities by upgrading equipment and training.
