Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island, FL seeks an experienced welder to fabricate and weld hardware for spaceflight systems. You will perform TIG welding on stainless steel components, collaborate with engineering to implement efficient manufacturing processes, and support integration with manufacturing teams.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace or precision manufacturing welding, experience with cryogenic installations, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years GTAW welding experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing production environment.
• 5+ years experience in stainless steel cryogenic installations, typically 2G, 5G and 6G per D1/ASME B31.3.
• 5+ years welding materials such as stainless, Inconel or Monel.
• Ability to fabricate and use large cutting saws, punches, formers, brakes and standard hand tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Must be able to operate PPE when entering/exiting manufacturing or lab areas.
• Ability to travel up to 20% supporting vendor and Blue Origin test facilities.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld hardware for spaceflight systems using TIG and stainless steel to ASME B31.3 standards.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement and refine manufacturing processes.
• Report to the Weld Shop Supervisor and support manufacturing integration teams.
