Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a motivated GTAW Welder to join our production team. You will perform high-quality precision welding on thin-gauge materials, following WPS parameters and AWS D17.1 criteria in a structured, process-driven environment.

This 2nd shift role offers opportunities to train others, interpret technical drawings, and contribute to aerospace welding quality while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year GTAW welding experience or welding fabrication experience.
• Associates degree in welding or certificate from a welding program preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS D17.1 welding code a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment per drawings and WPS ranges.
• Perform GTAW welding on thin-gauge materials (e.g., 4130 steel, stainless, aluminum, titanium).
• Inspect welds using calipers, micrometers, borescopes and visual methods; repair as needed.
• Follow safety, EH&S and ITAR guidelines; maintain clean work area.
• Assist in training other welders and interpret technical documents.
