Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Grinding Machinist to operate CNC and manual grinding equipment, repair aerospace components, and finish parts to tight tolerances. You will read blueprints, interpret drawings, and inspect with precision tools to ensure quality and safety.

The role runs Monday–Friday with possible shift adjustments and a sign-on bonus. The position requires machining experience in manufacturing, familiarity with grinding equipment, and strong math/measurement skills to support continuous

Qualifications

Machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating grinding equipment preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and manual grinding equipment.
Machine and repair precision aerospace components to close tolerances.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, and other precision measuring tools.
Change tooling and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and complete inspection documentation.
Operate overhead cranes and safely handle parts and materials.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
