Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Machinist - Grinder to operate ball form thread grinding on OD/ID machines and set up the equipment for part production. You will work in a fast-paced shop, ensuring accuracy and quality while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

The role emphasizes training others and supporting continuous improvement across the shop floor. You will process components on manual and CNC machines, optimize setups, and verify tolerances with precision tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bronze WorkKeys acceptable.
• 2+ years machining experience in ID/OD/Jig/Surface grinding.
• Experience with CNC Mill/Lathe and manual mills/lathes.
• 2+ years programming with G-Code/M-Code.
• Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment with appropriate tooling and gauges.
• Complete customer product requirements per work order.
• Perform in-process inspection to ensure quality.
• Identify setup/run time discrepancies and resolve with leadership.
• Maintain documentation for programs, tools, and data.
