Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Machinist - Grinder for the AeroMotion area on the 2nd shift in Saginaw, MI. Responsibilities include setting up and operating ball form thread grinders, performing in-process inspections, and maintaining machine and tool data to ensure quality parts.

You will work with CNC and manual grinders, read prints, and apply GD&T while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
• 2 years machining experience in ID/OD/Jig/Surface Grinding Hone, CNC Mill/Lathe, manual mills/lathes
• Proficiency in G-code/M-code
• Familiarity with Gibbs, Cad or SolidWorks
• Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
• Experience operating ball form CNC or manual thread grinders preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment with appropriate tooling for part production/inspection
• Perform in-process inspection to ensure 100% quality
• Maintain and organize documentation for programs and tool data
• Keep work area clean and safe; participate in maintenance and training
• Run and edit G/M codes; optimize tool runs and setups
